Nurse Intern Program Starting Fall 2024!Many new grads want to get
started as soon as possible. You can do that here at Mercy!You now
have the option to start in your unit as a Nurse Intern after
graduation and before taking/passing NCLEX.Once licensed, Nurse
Interns will transition into their licensed role.Overview:Under the
direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of
the patient to achieve the patient's highest level of wellness.
Works cooperatively with others as part of a team; recognizes the
importance of group goals. Performs designated clinical procedures
and nonclinical support tasks essential to providing care to the
patient. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups
to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with
our mission, values, and Mercy Service
Standards.Qualifications:Education: Graduated from an approved or
accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or
BSN).Licensure: Must be eligible to take board of nursing exam. In
the state of Oklahoma, must have submitted application to Pearson
VUE for testing and first payment for validating eligibility to
test, as well as transcript and conferral
letter.Certification/Registration: Must have a current American
Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course
within their probation period.Working Conditions, Mental and
Physical Requirements: Stand and walk most of the time on duty.
Meet unit-specific physical demands. Significant amount of bending
and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with
assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts,
days of the week, or work frequency according to patient care
requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical
demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch
up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.Skills,
Knowledge, and Abilities: Upholds and role models behaviors of
professionalism. Remains knowledgeable in advances in the
healthcare environment through continuing education.For more
